🧏 It’s Not My Fault Episode Eleven:
Bisola: But Dad, what is he still doing here? Is your birthday celebration not over? Why is he even staying in our house?
Mr. Ayeni: Hey babe, what’s wrong and who are you referring to?
Bisola: Dozie of course, I don’t like his presence and I don’t like the way he looks at me
Mr. Ayeni: Really? How does he look at you??
Bisola: He looks at me intently and with admiration, I think he needs to leave
Mr. Ayeni: Easy young woman. You know he is also my son
Bisola: Son?? The last time I checked, you gave birth to only me
Mr. Ayeni: Bisola my daughter, what is God saying about your relationship with Dozie? Don’t you think you need to get back together?
Mr. Ayeni: let’s have a heart-to-heart talk. Look me in the eye and tell me what God is saying about your relationship
Bisola: Hmmm, God wants us back together
Mr. Ayeni: You know, I have been praying to God concerning your relationship because no child of mine will have a broken marriage and God assured me that you two will get back together. If there is one thing I know of, it is that Dozie is a changed man. Why not work along with God?
Bisola: Hmmm, but Dad, I….i… I…
Mr. Ayeni: Ask God for grace to let go. Also, ask Him to teach you how to manage your home
Bisola: Alright, Dad. Thank you very much.
That was the conversation between Bisola and her father, She thought Dozie would leave after her Dad’s birthday celebration but he didn’t. He was everywhere in their house always helping out with one thing or the other, her mom who she thought would hate him also sees him as a son, and the worst part was that her twins were gradually getting closer to him. Some days ago, she walked into the living room to hear her twins ask him if he knows who their father was, she was glad she walked in on time to silence them. Another annoying thing was how she blush and melt whenever he looks at her, she expects herself to be angry with him but the reverse was the case.
Bisola was doing the dishes while cooking her father’s favorite meal when Dozie walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. Immediately he saw Bisola’s backside, he suddenly became lost, he moved closer and held her to himself. Bisola was so shocked to see Dozie hold her that way, she quickly pushed him away before any of her sons walk into the kitchen because they were fond of always being with Uncle Dozie.
Bisola: please, don’t ever try this nonsense again
Dozie: I am very sorry, I don’t know what came over me but can we talk later in the evening?
Bisola: that’s if I am chanced.
Dozie ensured he had a conversation with Bisola that evening. First, he sought her parent’s permission and then help out with any house chores which may try to hinder their conversation. Dozie chose Mr. Ayeni’s relaxation spot for their discussion, while they sat opposite each other, Dozie was lost staring at Bisola.
Bisola: Are we here to engage in a staring competition?
Dozie: eerm, I am very sorry. Babe, I am sorry for everything, I never for once planned for all this to happen. I just couldn’t take the fact that another man slept with my wife, I am an Igbo man and we don’t joke about another man touching our wives
Bisola: hmmm, wise speech
Dozie: I am very sorry, I mean it. I want us to come back together
Bisola: sorry? Do you think sorry will erase the hurt in my heart? Do you think sorry will take away the pain of being raped by four men?
Dozie: no! no!! no!!! This isn’t happening, how? When? Where??
Bisola: (bursts into tears) I need to go, I can’t continue with this conversation
