“My wife Simi is the most amazing woman I know aside my mother. I remember 8 years ago when she was just my girlfrîend and I was stîll brôke, she would pay my rents, sought my bills and even give me pocket allowance. I was just a poôr graphic designer who rarely got deals but she made sure I didn’t lãck anything.
I had always loved music but I didn’t have the finances to fund my career so I was stũck as a graphic designer. But things changed for me the day Simi came to visit and just when she reached at the doorstep, she heard me energetîcally singing and dancing in my room. She came in and asked me why I didn’t consider taking my music talent serious and I told her that I didn’t have money.
She laughed and said “You should’ve told me, I’m not just a singer, but I’m also a producer and I would be glad to be your producer.” Upon hearing this, tęars of joy ran down my chicks as I couldn’t confine the joy in me. Then we wrõte the songs on my first album, “Gold” and she took me to her studio then recorded, mixed and mastered every single song on that album.
She was the one who even paid promoters and all of a sudden, I just blęw up. Ever since then, she has always been there for me and she still helps me to write and produce my songs till date. God bless this virtuous woman, she’s every man’s dream and I’m proud to be her husband.” Adekunle Gold
