A stupefied June stood looking at the mansion that a smiling Damian had to go back to pull her up the stairs.
They were greeted by the servants who were twenty in number and he led her into the sitting room where his mother and younger sister were.
“I could have come pick you” Martha Brooks said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek, sending a smile to June.
“Am not a child and besides, I have my wife taking care of me” Damian reminded.
“But still….”
“Oh mom. It’s time for you to stop mothering big bro, give his wife a chance to do it. Hello June” Cathy greeted and June reply.
“Fine then. You two must be hungry, how about… ”
“Right now, we have more pending thing to do. We save eating till dinner time, let’s go” Damian said taking hold of June hand.
“And also, no one should disturb us” Damian added as they both ascend the stairs.
“What’s more pending than eating and spending time with your family?” Martha question her daughter who shook her head at her mother naiveness.
“When you get to hold your grandson, you will understand then” Cathy replied, smiling sweetly at her mom.

“Will this be my room?” June ask as she walk into the massive bedroom.
“It’s my room but for now, it’s ours” He said as he sat on the bed, gesturing for her to join him.
“But your mother agreed to prepare the guest room for me”
“I told her not to. You are my wife and it’s only right that we share the same room” he replied smoothly.
“But still, sleeping in the….”
“No argument, not now. I feel a bit tired and I need to rest can you help me take off the sling” he said, walking towards her.
June did as he said, aware of his gaze on her as she did so.
“Mind helping me loosen my shirt button, can’t use my arm” he said, faking an helpless guy look.
She began loosening the button of his shirt, feeling nervous when she saw that he had nothing underneath it.
“There. It’s done” she said, looking away when she saw him shrug off the shirt from his one good arm.
“A little help” he said again and this time she was force to stare at his body and it’s definitely a body worth looking at.
Not that she hasn’t seen Wayne shirtless countless times but there’s something different about Damian Brooks body that makes him different from other men.
She took in a deep breath when she pulled the shirt off of him, she move towards the window, trying her best to get rid of the wayward thoughts in her head.
For crying out loud, you have a boyfriend…her conscience cried at her.
“How about you…. ”
“Do not tell me to help you take off your pants, am not going to do that” she said, her back still turn on him.
She heard his chuckle and thought that he will get the drift and go into the bathroom but instead, he wrap his arm around her from behind.
“What are you….” A gasp left her lips when push her hair aside to kiss her on the neck. Immediately, she turn to him.
“We shouldn’t be doing this. I…I will leave you to get dressed” she said trying to walk past him but he caught her by the waist and made her seat on his desk.
“Have told you that I won’t grant you a divorce. Ever since you told me about wanting a divorce have been wondering how to get you to stay with me. I still don’t remember how we first met, how we got married and how I made you fall in love with me”
“And I don’t want to deceive you by pretending to feel what is still new to me so, have come to one conclusion?”
“What conclusion?” June find herself asking and slowly, he place his hand on her stomach.
“In order to change your mind about getting a divorce, I intend to get you pregnant with my child” he announce, shocking the life out of her.
“How about we begin now” he said, lifting her off the desk and towards his bed.
“Your arm” she said starring at his two arm which carried her.
“It only hurts when use it for something tedious”
“But am heavy and….”
“You are as light as a feather, something else I like about you” he confided, setting her on the bed.
It wasn’t until he reach for her top that she realise the enormity of what’s about to happen.
“No! Get away from me” June said, getting off the bed.
“Isn’t that too harsh to say to your husband?” He ask, moving towards her and immediately, she ran into the bathroom and lock herself in.
“June! Open the door. I need to have my bathe” he said knocking on the door.
“Go do it somewhere else!” She said from inside.
June heard a knock coming from the front door and when he went to open the door, she left the bathroom, hoping she can make her escape with this but the scene that greeted her made her stop whatever she was planning to do.
Cause Damian and Mitchell stood by the doorway, kissing each other…..
