She watch him pick up his phone to call someone.
“Who are you calling?”
“My mom. I want to tell her not to bother preparing the guest room since you and I will be going to my apartment”
“W..why?”
“What other reason than to consummate our marriage”
“No!” June half yell as she snatch the phone from him.
“Am a bit sadden that you choose to stay in the guest room when we can easily go to my apartment and consummate our marriage without anyone bothering us” Damian said, pouting sadly.
“I have no intention of consummating our marriage” June said, still holding onto his phone.
“Why?”
“Apart from wanting you to know that am your wife, I also came to let you know that I want a divorce” June said and the smile on his face vanish.
“Why do you want a divorce?”
“You lied to me. During our first meeting and until the day we got married, you didn’t tell me everything about yourself” June began her excuse, an excuse which Greg made up for her.
“You made me believe you were a poor artist only to tell me on the day of our marriage that you are the heir to Brooks international”
“So? Isn’t that suppose to be a happy thing for you? All girls want a rich guy” Damian said like the typical spoilt kid he is.
Well, she’s actually taking it far by calling him a spoilt kid since he isn’t that. Working at Brooks international has got her learning things about him, things like him making his first million at the age of twenty three before he took over the company his father left him, he’s also known to be a partial boss to his employees and he sponsor a lot of scholarships and give help to numerous orphanage.
When she learnt this about him two months ago, she thought him a hero but his playboy behavior ruin the perfect image she had of him.
“All girls except for me. I hate men who lie and I made that clear to you but you deceive me” she said hating herself more since she’s the liar.
“Along with our marriage certificate, I brought with me our divorce paper and so, sign them and set me free” June brought out the form, hoping he doesn’t read it till the end since it’s the form that will transfer all his assets to Greg.
“If you need a pen, I have one with….”
“I don’t need a pen, I actually need a scissors” Damian cut her off and before she could guess what he needed the scissors for it was too late since he was ripping the paper in shreds.
“Why did you do that?” June ask, sadden by the way things were turning out.
“Right before the divorce thing, I was wondering why I chose you out of numerous ladies, at first I thought it was to get into your bed, you an attractive lady afterall but when you told me the reason for wanting a divorce, It finally came to me”
“I married you because you are different, you have a unique personality which drew me to you. I mean…who wouldn’t want a husband with lots of money, I always thought you girls are the same but you’ve prove me wrong. Which is why am not granting you a divorce, instead I want to get to know you more, June” he said ruining everything.
This isn’t what she plan with Greg, why are things going bad…June thought as she left his bedside, heading to the door.
“Where are you going?”
“To get something to drink cause talking to you has got me thirsty!” She yell before leaving the room.
“Even when she’s mad, she’s cute” Damian muttered, smiling to himself.
After sending a text to Greg, telling him everything that took place after he left, she stuff herself up before going back to Damian’s room.
As soon as Greg bring forge a new document, she will give it to him and once he sign, she’s out of his life.
On getting to his room, she heard someone else speaking in the room.
Does he have a visitor? June thought as she walk into the room.
“Oh! She’s finally here” Damian said motioning her to come.
She walk towards the two men, wondering who this guest of his is.
It wasn’t until she saw his face that recognition dawn on her.
“Ronald, meet my wife June” Damian introduce, holding onto June’s hand.
“Are you sure she’s your wife cause I doubt it ” Ronald said also recognizing her…..
