She open her drowsy eyes a bit more and turn on her bed to see Damian laying on the bed, behind her.

“Did I wake you?” He ask.

I won’t deceive you by saying it’s love, I have never fallen in love with someone nor do I know how the feeling works but what I do know is that I want you by my side, I want to protect and care for you, I like you, June”
“I realise that you might not feel the same for me but am hoping that you will give me a chance to show you just how much I like you and to make you feel the same way in return ” somehow June could hear a plea in his word and that got her turning to him.
“You like me?” She ask.
“Since the first day I saw you” he revealed earning a smile from her.
“That’s a lie, you must thought me to be crazy. I also thought myself a crazy person” she said earning his smile.
“Does your family know about this?” June ask.
“They do and they are ready to accept you as my wife” Damian said.
“Promise me one thing….if it doesn’t work out between us, you let me go”
“Though it’s hard to promise such a thing, I will but am also going to promise you that I will make it work between us. Am I allowed to put it on for you?” He ask, showing her the wedding ring she threw away.
June watch him slip the ring into her finger and a smile brighten her pale face even as he lean down to give her a brief kiss.
“Get some rest, you need plenty of that” he said, cuddling her.
June let out a silent sigh….hoping that things doesn’t go wrong for them.
