PRUDENT πΉ
I stomped into my room, slamming the door behind me, and flopped onto the bed, fuming. Written by Peter’s Gracuous.
I couldn’t believe the audacity of that lowlife Brittany, challenging me like that.
Just then, my phone rang, breaking my train of thought. I reached for it and checked the caller ID. It was Roselle, my best friend. I slid to answer the call. Written by Peter’s Gracuous.
“Hey, fish! What’s up?” Roselle’s voice boomed from the other end.
“Not great, actually,” I replied.
“What happened?” she asked, concern evident in her tone.
“Everything,” I sighed.
“Don’t tell me Kingston is giving you the cold shoulder again?” she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
“No, I’m used to that by now,” I said dryly.
“Then what’s going on?” she pressed.
“It’s that bitch, Brittany. I think Kingston loves her more now, and I feel like I’m losing the battle to her,” I admitted, my frustration evident.
Roselle burst out laughing. “Hahaha, you’re too cold, Prudy! Remember who you are – a celebrity, an idol, and a role model to many. You’re worth more than that pest!”
“I know, but that doesn’t change what I’m going through,” I said, my voice laced with desperation.
“It does, because you’re more valuable than that. I think I have an idea…”
BRITTANY π
I wrapped up my evening routine, slipped into my nightwear, and headed downstairs to the dining room.
As i got downstairs, I spotted Kingston already seated, with Prudent by his side. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met, and I felt a pang of unease. I hadn’t expected Prudent to be joining us for dinner. Written by Peter’s Gracuous.
I made my way over and sat down beside Kingston, who greeted me with a warm smile and took my hand in his. “Hey, Rita! How’s my favorite mom-to-be doing today?” he asked, his eyes sparkling with affection. “How’s our little bundle of joy treating you?”
I smiled, my hand instinctively cradling my belly. “He’s doing great, and he asked me to say hi to his daddy,” I said, my voice filled with warmth. As I spoke, I felt a gentle flutter in my stomach, as if our little one was echoing the sentiment.
Kingston’s face lit up with a radiant smile. “Aww, that’s amazing! Tell him daddy said hi back, and that he can’t wait to meet him.” He gently placed his hand on my belly, his eyes filled with love and anticipation. “I can’t believe we’re going to be parents, Rita. It’s a dream come true.”
I giggled excitedly, my eyes sparkling with amusement. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of Prudent, her expression a stark contrast to mine.
She was stabbing at her food with her fork, her movements sharp and angry, her eyes fixed on her plate with a scowl. The tension radiating from her was palpable, and I couldn’t help but feel a little triumphant, knowing that Kingston’s attention was focused on me.
Despite my unresolved issues with Kingston and my desire to make him pay for his past wrongs, I bit my tongue, aware that Prudent’s presence complicated matters.
Kingston, seemingly oblivious to the tension, scooped up a forkful of spaghetti and meatballs from the plate he’d prepared for me, and began feeding me, his eyes locked on mine.
He didn’t even glance in Prudent’s direction, which only seemed to enrage her further. With a soft hiss, she pushed back her chair and stormed out of the dining room, her maid scurrying after her. The atmosphere in the room seemed to relax slightly in her absence, and Kingston continued to feed me, his gaze never wavering. Written by Peter’s Gracuous.
WRITER'S POV π§
Five months later…
Kingston completely becomes another version of himself..
Pampering Brittany at any given opportunity.
Not minding her wild craves.. she can crave for wild food even by late hours of the night.
Kingston wouldn’t mind to drive downtown, just to get it ready for her.
That’s one night Rita asked for a life fish.
“What for?” Kingston had asked her.
“Nothing, just want to inhale the sweet scent.” She had said with a puppy face.
“Is that why you can’t sleep?” He asked.
“Yes, am sorry.”
“No need to be sorry, I’ll get it for you.” He said
He drove all through the night with Jeff and finally got it at a fishpond located almost at the edge of the city. Written by Peter’s Gracuous.
They both returned home exhausted and gave the fish to Brittany who angrily throw it away..
“The smell irritate me, take it away from me.” She yelled at Kingston, who sighed loudly taking the fish away.
PRUDENT πΉ
I stood by my door, at the middle of the night, I think this is the right time to execute my plans.
Just then Brittany open her door, obviously going to the kitchen to get more ice cream. Since it’s now a routine to her.
I made sure to Lock Kingston door from the outside.
As Brittany walked down the stairs.
I came out of my hiding spot.. following closely behind her.
As if sensing my presence, she wanted to turn around. But then I forcefully pushed her down the stairs..
“Arrrugg!!” She screamed falling off the stair case.
“Say me high to your ancestors.” I smirks evily.
