RUIZ ROYAL ESTATE β
Alejandro was working on his laptop and reviewing some documents when Diego entered the office.
“The files contain the person behind the snake,” Diego informed him, dropping some files on Alejandro’s desk.
Alejandro paused his work to open the pictures. It was a blonde woman who didn’t look familiar to him.
“Her name is Ximena Leon, Rafael’s ex-girlfriend,” Diego added. Alejandro’s grip on the file tightened.
After a moment of silent anger, he dropped the file and stood up. “Come with me,” he ordered Diego, leaving the office.
“Where are we going, boss?” Diego asked, running after him.
“To Marcus Ventures. He needs to learn how to keep his properties off mine,” Alejandro replied. Before Diego could reason with him, he had already reached his car.
Diego helplessly shook his head and followed him.

MARCUS GLOBAL VENTURES β
Diego parked the car, and Alejandro didn’t wait for him to get the door. He stepped out himself, hands in his pants pockets, and walked majestically into the building.
“Mr. Ruiz?” The female receptionist looked confused. “Is there anything you need? Do you have an appointment with Mr. Marcus?” she asked.
“Show me the way to his office,” Alejandro ignored her greeting.
“I’m afraid I can’t let anyone see Mr. Marcus without an appointment,” the receptionist said politely.
“I said, show me the way to his damn office,” Alejandro demanded. He had no intention of leaving without speaking to Rafael.
“I told you, Mr. Ruiz, I can’t let you see Mr. Marcus without an appointment. If you refuse, I’ll have to call security,” the receptionist warned, picking up her phone.
“Boss, let’s just leave,” Diego whispered.
“Mr. Alejandro Ruiz, you just got here, so why are you in a rush to leave? Do you want to settle down and talk over a cup of tea?” Rafael asked, coming out of an elevator with Julian.
Alejandro turned to him, his face dark with anger.
“Oh, maybe you didn’t come for tea,” Rafael said, feigning surprise.
“I want to warn you to keep your property off mine. If your woman makes another attempt to hurt my wife, I’ll make sure both of you regret it,” Alejandro warned.
“What do you mean, Camila is hurt? How is she now?” Rafael asked seriously, his eyes filled with worry.
“I’ll say this one last time: stay away from my property and control yours, or I’ll do it for you,” Alejandro said, giving Rafael one last glance before walking away.
Diego immediately followed him while Rafael stood confused.
“Did I hear it right, Camila was hurt?” Rafael asked Julian.
“I’ll look into it, boss. But what do you want me to do about Ximena?” Julian asked.
“I’ll handle her myself,” Rafael replied.

BRIARWOOD SCHOOL β
Valeria was eating with Elijah at the school cafeteria, laughing at some jokes his friends were making when her phone beeped. She checked the message and stood up.
“Excuse me,” she flashed a sweet smile, leaving the table.
Jeff watched her walk away before turning to Elijah. “She seems so happy all the time,” he said.
“Agreed, Elijah, you’re such a keeper,” Alan winked, dipping a fry in sauce and eating it.
Elijah wasn’t listening; he was busy looking at Brett and Isabella’s table. He wondered what they were laughing about and noticed Brett glancing at him.
“You’re still not over Isabella?” Easton whispered, bringing Elijah’s focus back.
“Huh?” Elijah asked, confused.
“You’ve been glancing at Isabella’s table for minutes now. You just assured us you were over her, and Ace has gone to ask her out,” Easton reminded him.
“Oh,” was all Elijah could say. If only they knew the actual person he couldn’t take his eyes off.
“I’m serious, Elijah. Remember the bro code and stay away from Isabella as promised,” Easton pleaded.
“Chill, we’ve been friends for so long. I assure you, Ace can do whatever he wants with Isabella; it’s none of my concern,” Elijah rolled his eyes and glanced at Brett again. Isabella was patting his head now.
“Except she has something I really, really want,” he added in his head, secretly squeezing his fist under the table.

FEMALE RESTROOM β
Valeria locked herself in and checked the message. They were new pictures of her body, showing her scars. She tried calling the number, but no one picked up, and she felt like she was going crazy.
Her phone beeped; a new message had arrived.
“Maybe I should tell everyone the real reason you left your other school to come here,” the unknown sender texted, then sent more pictures.
“Who are you, and what do you want from me?” Valeria texted back, but as usual, there was no reply.
“Oh God, this can’t be happening,” she mumbled, bending to the floor and holding her head, trying to reduce the sudden pain. She had done her best to hide her past, so who was trying to tear down the walls she had built?

LEON ENTERPRISE β
“Mr. Marcus, it’s good to see you again,” the receptionist smiled sweetly at Rafael when she saw him, but he didn’t return it.
“Is Ximena in her office?” he asked directly.
“Yes, Mr. Marcus. Should I call her and tell her thatβ” The receptionist stopped talking when she noticed Rafael had already left.
He took the elevator to Ximena’s floor. Luckily, he found her outside with her friends, laughing about something. One of her friends noticed him and whispered to Ximena, making her turn over the him.
“We need to talk,” Rafael walked toward them.
“I’ll talk to him,” Ximena said to her friends, ushering them away. Once they were out of sight, Rafael grabbed Ximena’s hand, pulling her into her office.
He slammed her back against the door and locked it. Before she could process what was happening, he grabbed her by the throat, choking her.
“Rafael,” Ximena coughed, trying to push his hands off, but he didn’t let go.
“What’s wrong with you, Rafael? Let me go!” Ximena tried to breathe, but Rafael did not relent.
“Why did you hurt Camila?” He tightened his grip.
“How does that concern you? She’s not even yours,” Ximena forced out, and Rafael released her. She began coughing for her life.
“Yet” he corrected. “She’s not mine yet and this is the last time I’ll hear about this, or you’ll regret ever knowing me!” He flashed her a warning look. Ximena swore she didn’t recognize the man before her.
“This isn’t the Rafael I know,” she muttered, but it was loud enough for him to hear.
“Maybe you don’t really know me,” he said with a dark look before pulling her aside so he could leave the office.
Ximena clutched her chest in fright. She turned back to watch his retreating figure and pictured him with Camila. The thought pierced her heart like an arrow. She would never allow it.
“It won’t end until I say so,” she said hatefully, clenching her fist.
