Raymond came out of the conference room with Blake and stretched himself lightly
“Where’s your secretary?, Or should I say your grapefruit?” Blake asked
” She’s not coming today, she went for a test in the hospital, I’m wondering why she hasn’t called, she should be done with it by now” Raymond replied
” Maybe we’re expecting a baby soon” Blake said

” The red devil is not in the conference today” Blake said
” And there she is” Raymond said, gesturing at Brenda who’s just coming out of the elevator with Liz
Liz looks unsettled some how as they entered their office
“Emery’s line is off” Raymond said suspiciously
“Stop getting worried, maybe it’s out of battery” Blake said
” No Blake,it can’t be, she had a full battery this morning” Raymond replied

“Too sure Blake, too sure” Raymond replied
Glenn is on her way to Emery’s office when she ran into them

” No, her line is off” she replied
“Blake this is not right” Raymond said, going inside the elevator already

They got down and got in the car quickly
Raymond drove home but she’s not at home

“Let’s go check the hospital” Blake said

They got to the hospital and met the driver in the car outside the hospital
“Hey, where’s Emery?” Raymond asked
“Madam has been in since morning, she hasn’t come out” he replied
That seemed to calm Raymond down as he walked into the hospital with Blake
“She has left this hospital since we finished running her tests since morning, she’s pregnant” the doctor replied
” Seriously?, Emmie is pregnant!” Raymond said joyously
” I knew it” Blake said
” But…she left here Immediately I gave her the results, about two hours ago” the doctor said
” Really?, Two hours?, She’s nowhere to be found” Blake said
” What!” The doctor said in surprise
“Yes, we can’t find her” Raymond said, obviously shaking
“I really don’t know what to say about this” the doctor replied
They both went out of the hospital worriedly
“Blake just help me look for her, nothing must happen to her and our baby, nothing must happen to them” Raymond said, holding unto Blake’s collar
” Calm down baby bro, we’ll find her, let’s contact the cops first” Blake said and brought out his phone
He informed the police about it and the search for her started immediately
“What do I do?” Raymond said, leaning on the car
” We’ll find her, let’s just make a suspect list already, but I think the list will only contain two people” Blake said
” Liz and Brenda” they both chorused…
“And now you’ll have my son, Emery is gone” Brenda said , sitting in front of Liz in her office

” So daughter in-law, if anyone asks where we were during the conference, just say we went to shop at the mall together, and you dare not open your mouth to tell anyone what I did to that bitch” Brenda said, holding Liz’s shoulder tight
” Yes..yes ma’am” she replied shakily

” Emery is missing?” Glenn said, standing up from her desk

“Yes Glenn, I dunno what to do , the doctor confirmed that her test results shows positive…I mean she’s pregnant, two months” Raymond replied on phone
” OMG!, But now my friend is missing?, No, I can’t believe this, it’s Impossible” Glenn said

They got to the station and met Blake and Raymond
Raymond is sprawled dejectedly on a chair, not saying a thing

“The suspects you mentioned have been summoned for interrogation” the cop replied

“I saw the announcement on TV about the missing girl, I carried her in my cab this morning to the uncompleted skyscraper building, opposite the research institute, I picked her up from the front of an hospital” he said
Raymond spranged up and he’s the first to get out of the station
Blake followed with the others and cops
He drove to the building in seconds and Raymond ran in

Raymond sat on the stair and more tears came out of his eyes
“No!!!, No it can’t be!, Where’s Emery!, Where’s she!!!, She can’t be dead!, Please!!!” He screamed with red eyes
Blake stood and watched him
Seeing him cry right now is hurtful but what can he do?, His heart will probably be bleeding right now

A girl can be seen entering a building with a female doctor and they seem to be in a rush
They rushed in and met the unconscious patient on the bed, badly injured
Her arms are full of wounds, maybe something pierced through them
Her face has few wounds and her lips is bruised too
Her stomach is wounded and there are slight wounds in all part of her body too, making her clothes full off blood
“Hospital would have been better than home treatment in this kind of situation” the doctor said
” Look doctor, we’re from this Mexico too but where we came from is just too far, I saved her from the hands of enemies so taking her to the hospital will only expose her, they might come there to kill her, so please doctor, you came with the necessary equipments right? , Please save her, I can’t lose her upon all my stress” the girl said
The doctor sighed as an intern brought in some equipments
A test was quickly run and from there it was detected that she’s two months pregnant
“Thankfully , the wound on her belly did not affect the baby” the doctor said and started treatment
She undressed her and swabbed her body with special treatments then injected her with pain relievers so she won’t feel pains unconsciously
She then plastered the wounds and specially treated the one on her belly
Her face was treated too and she dressed her up again
“But we’re having a problem” the doctor said
“What?”
“The test I ran showed that she’s still in a state of shock even in her unconscious state, meaning she was in a state of shock too when this happened to her, so ….she might not wake up anytime soon” the doctor said
” Is that what they call coma?, But she’s pregnant, how will the baby grow?” The girl replied
” It’ll grow, so far she’s still breathing, you just need to be doing your best and feed her with oats in her coma state, just know how to get it into her mouth and it’ll go down her throat, she’ll survive it, it won’t be for long anyways” the doctor said
“but please, don’t inform anyone about this please, her life will be in danger if her enemies knows she’s still alive, and can you please come here to treat her everyday till she’ll be ok?, Your fee is not a problem, and please what’s your name?” The girl asked
The doctor sighed
” Too many questions and requests, ok done… I’ll always come and I won’t tell anyone…I’m doctor Alyssa, what about you?” she replied
” Jocelyn, and your patient’s name is Emery” Jocelyn replied
” Where did you save her from?”
” You know my homelessness saved her, I was homeless, I sleep in an uncompleted skyscraper every night and when the day breaks, I go into the streets to magnet ” she said

So I decided to exercise to get rid of the tiredness by climbing the one thousand skyscraper stairs
I was almost at the top, maybe like fifty stairs left to climb when I started hearing sounds, I layed low and listened
Then shortly I heard the sound of elevator door opening upstairs, maybe that was when Emery entered
The wicked woman was the one who killed her parents and for the fact that her son loves her, she pushed her off the stairs and she started rolling down
The woman left with the hope that she’ll die, but luckily I caught her in the fiftieth stair, wounded seriously” Jocelyn replied
” Fiftieth stair?, And she’s wounded like this?, What if she has rolled to the base of the one thousand stairs, she’d have split to pieces” doctor Alyssa said
” Life is so cruel, that’s why I hired a driver who’s my friend, he took us as far as this place, I’ll protect her with my life, I just feel like doing that” Jocelyn said
” You have a good heart” doctor Alyssa said
“I know” Jocelyn replied and the doctor hugged her
Raymond stayed in the skyscraper till night with Blake and Julius with Glenn
Glenn is crying profusely too, saying her damn dream came to pass…
Julius consoled her while Blake tried consoling Raymond
A cop entered the building
“Searching is still going on, Mr Blake Crown, try to persuade him to go home, crying is not the next” the cop said
Raymond suddenly spranged up and walked out of the building, passing by the cop
He grabbed the cop’s gun and ran out of the place
“My gun!” The cop said as Raymond got in his car and drove off
He was quickly followed
Raymond got to Brenda’s house and got down from the car, cocking the gun, he went in
Brenda is busy drinking and smoking in her living room
She stood in horror when Raymond pointed the gun at her with tears in his eyes
