“I can’t believe this, so you two are getting married?” Bianca ask, scoffing out loud.
“We are and so I’d advice you to know what you say when you talk. Stephanie isn’t your husband lover but mine” Ashton said, his arms locking around Stephanie waist.
“Did you hear him? Now that you know that Stephanie is getting married, we might as well leave” Bianca said to Bobby who was silently watching Stephanie.
“Bobby!” Bianca call, snapping him out of his silent mode.
“Let’s go” she said and Bobby turn to leave only to turn back again.
“I don’t believe you two are getting married. I don’t believe it, my secretary will fix a day for us to talk, I hope you will come see me” Bobby said to Stephanie who said nothing.
“I will be damned if I let Stephanie anywhere near you” Ashton said and for a while, a look of anger crossing between the two men.
“Let’s go” Bianca said, pulling Bobby towards his car and it wasn’t until their car was out of sight that Ashton let go of Stephanie.
” What prompt you to do that? Why did you say we are getting married? I clearly refuse you earlier” Stephanie said, finally finding her voice after staying quiet.
“Have you seen your father?” Ashton ask.
“Why do you ask?” Stephanie said in return.
“I suggest you go see him. Here is the address of where he is staying” Ashton said, giving her a paper.
“I will come see you tomorrow evening and I am sure that by then, you will understand ” Ashton added, going back to his car and leaving the premises.
“Can’t believe those two are getting married? Do you think Ashton has fallen in love with Stephanie?” Bianca ask as Bobby drive down the street.
“They might even have been in love years ago when they slept together. You and I did right by being their Cupid arrow, don’t you think they make a lovely couple?” Bianca ask and that got Bobby stepping on the brake.
“What’s wrong with you! Why did you stop in that manner!” Bianca yell, holding her neck.
“Get out”
“What?”
“You heard me, Get out of the car!” Bobby yell at her.
“How can you just tell me to get out in the middle of nowhere? If you are angry about Stephanie and Ashton marriage then don’t take it out on me and you should give up whatever feeling you have for Stephanie cause she will be Ashton wife” Bianca said, making his blood boil.
“Stephanie would never have met Ashton if you didn’t take her to his party years ago. So, it’s mainly your fault that they are together now” Bianca added hotly.
“Hearing the news about them getting married must have made you happy, right?” Bobby ask.
“You have no idea how happy I am since you won’t be going after Stephanie again” Bianca said and Bobby smile at her, a cruel smile.
He got out of the car, walking round it to pull Bianca out of the passenger seat.
“You can’t do this to me! You can’t just leave me…. arrgh!” Bianca exclaim as she fell on the ground due to the push he gave her.
“Just so you know things aren’t over between Stephanie and I. It can never be over” Bobby said, tossing her bag at her before getting into the car.
Bianca watch the tail light of his car until it was out of sight then she got off the ground and took out her phone to call someone.
“Hello, this is Bianca, do you need an exclusive on Fannie Grey and Ashton Maverick?” She said to whoever is on the line.

After making an enquiry about her father from the receptionist, Stephanie was introduced to her father personal nurse who fill her on everything.
“Your father came here four years ago and by then, he was already suffering from Alzheimer’s. His memory thinking and reasoning are slowly declining”
“I tried to persuade him to go to the hospital but he refuse, saying he wanted to stay here. It was after a year that I found out that his wife and step daughter use his sickness against him”
“They rob him of his money and the house and made him penniless which is why he came to stay here. I have been paying his bills ever since and I had hope that someday you will come see him before his memory is completely wiped out” the nurse explain.
“Can I see him?” Stephanie ask and she was taken to the room where her father was.
He look thinner and older and his hair has gotten whiter, making him look older than his sixty years.
“Try not to upset him, okay” the nurse said as they walk towards him.
“Look who is here, Martin. It’s your daughter, Stephanie” the nurse said to him and he look up at Stephanie, giving her a dismissing look.
“I don’t have a daughter grown like that. My daughter is just seven years old, she came to see me yesterday” Martin said softly.
“But she is your daughter, take a look at her again” the nurse insist but he shake his head.
“Go away, I don’t know who you are. My daughter is still little, I don’t know who she is” Martin said, turning away from them.
Tears shimmer Stephanie eyes as she stared at her father.
“Daddy” she called softly and that got him facing her, she watch him take hold of her hand to kiss it.
“It’s you Isabel, you came back to me, you know how much I missed you and that’s why you came” Martin said now smiling at her.
“Isabel is your late mother, right?” The nurse whisper into Stephanie ear and she gave a nod.
“Don’t leave me my dear one. You have no idea how lost I felt when you left, Stephanie and I missed you a lot and now that you are here, I won’t let you go” A demented Martin said, caressing Stephanie hand.
“I won’t leave you, I promise” Stephanie said as she sat beside him, pulling his frail old body into her arms.
