“Finally, the reporters are gone” Susan said, leaving the window where she had been standing for an hour watching some bunch of reporters who are all waiting to talk to Stephanie and David.
“Am sure they will be back tomorrow. We should probably get an apartment with a gate” David suggest.
“You know we aren’t staying here for long” Susan counter.
“I don’t know why but something tells me that we will be staying here a long time. All flights to New York have been cancelled till further notice and Ashton won’t let his children go, that’s why he propose to Stephanie” David remind.
“Don’t even remind me about that. Do you know how angry I felt when I heard him asking her to marry him, after what he did to her!”
“About that, what exactly did Ashton do to Stephanie?” David ask curiously.
“Don’t try to find out. You will hate him as much as Susan and I do” Stephanie said as she walk down the stairs.
“Are the kids asleep?” Susan ask.
“Yes, took me a while to get them to sleep”
“Cause they keep asking about Ashton?” Susan ask and Stephanie answered with a nod.
“Will you tell them he is their father?”
“I will have to someday. As it is, Ashton is already laying his claim” Stephanie answered.
“Can I ask a question?” David said, interrupting the two.
“Do you intend to marry him?” David ask, watching her intently for her answer.
“Of course not! ” Susan said quickly.
“I want Stephanie to say it herself, will you marry him if he propose to you again?” David ask, looking very serious.
“I will be a fool to do that, happy?” Stephanie said as she pick up her purse.
“Where to?”
“Need to get some snacks at the convience store, I will be back soon” Stephanie said, quickly leaving the apartment.
What is wrong with her? Why did she hesitate before answering David and why on earth did she kiss Ashton back at the airport.
She claim she hates him and yet, she lets him kiss her.
These are the thoughts running through Stephanie head that she fail to see Bobby standing beside his car, watching her.
“Hello, Stephanie” he greeted, startling her.
On seeing that it’s Bobby, Stephanie continue her walk without bothering to reply but he went after her.
“I know you are angry at me and I deserve it but can you please give me a chance to….”
“So this is where you are, Bobby” Bianca voice drifted towards them as she stood watching the two.
“Why the hell are you here?” Bobby ask, walking towards Bianca but she ignore him and stroll towards Stephanie.
“I assume you don’t know Bobby and I are married” Bianca reveal, surprising Stephanie with this piece of news.
“Shut up Bianca and let’s go” Bobby said, taking hold of her hand but Bianca shrug it off.
“What? She needs to know you are my husband and that I won’t divorce you so you can go to her” Bianca said, glaring at Bobby.
“You came back for revenge,right. You are trying to steal Bobby from me just like I did years ago but I won’t let you, I won’t….”
“I don’t know what Bobby has been telling you but get it into your head that I have nothing going on with him. Not now or ever” Stephanie said crisply, cutting Bianca off.
Stephanie walk past the two of them only for Bianca to pull her back, slapping her on the face.
“You damn slut! I know you came back just to steal Bobby from me, I know you…..”
Stephanie return the slap twice, making Bianca stagger and she would have fallen if it not for Bobby who held her.
“You bitch! You are going to pay for that” Bianca said, pushing Bobby away while raising her hand to hit Stephanie.
But she didn’t succeed because Ashton held her hand.
” Let go, you are hurting me” Bianca said and he toss her hand away, glaring at her and Bobby.
“Were you going to hit her?” Ashton ask, still glaring at the two.
“This has nothing to do with you, Maverick. It’s best you leave” Bobby said, returning his glare.
“Ahhh…so you want me to leave while you two bully my fiancee” Ashton said and all eyes fell on him.
“Fi…fiancee? What do you mean?” Bianca ask.
“What do you think?” Ashton said, starring at Stephanie who was watching him in silence.
“Don’t tell me you two are….”
“Yes we are! Stephanie agreed to be my wife and we will be getting married as soon as possible ” Ashton said, his eyes on Stephanie…..
