Jake confusedly looked at Julia. “What is she talking about?” He asked with confused eyes.
Amanda smiled pathetically. “Poor you, you’ve successfully been one of Julia’s target just like she has done with everyone” She said.
“Watch your mouth Amanda. You don’t know what you’re saying!!” Julia tried looking tough when she was inwardly very scared.

“Oh please let’s cut the crap already. The semester is about to end and I will do as you ask. I will apologize to Jake and leave the school but I think it’s nice we met the poor boy know” Amanda faked a pitiful look.
“What is going on?” Jake voice was demanding this time.
“I’ll tell you. So few months back, Julia and I made a bet that had to deal with you. She would make you fall for her at all means before this semester ends and by all means, she exposed that article about your mother and also planned your parent’s get together so you both could stay under one roof” Amanda explained.
“And hear the raw evidence” She also played the recording of her and Julia’s conversation.
“Fuck” Kelvin mumbled. “I did warn him about her”
Julia’s eyes was already filled up with tears. Jake slowly faced her, his eyes looked so down, he was trying not to look affected till he hear what she tries to say.
“Is it true? What was between us wasn’t real? I’m I just a bet to you?” He asked slowly as his eyes carefully watched him. Part of him was praying and begging she proves him wrong but with the eyes she was giving him, he didn’t know what to say.
“Yes Jake I did made a bet with Amanda but..”
Jake raised his finger mid air, silencing her. His eyes was shut and he didn’t know how to process all he just heard.
“That’s all I need to know Julia” Was all he could say as he stood up and left.
“Jake!!” Julia ran after him but he moved so fast.
“Jake wait, let’s stop please!!!” She shouted causing Jake to halt and angrily stare at her.
“What more can I possibly hear from you Julia! Do you need me to roll down a red carpet or do you need me to clap?” He asked harshly.
“You know what? You deserve a fucking clap” He clapped for her. “I salute you Julia, you played so well… So fucking well” He said, his eyes were misty and red, his hair was already messy.
“Jake please I know things started as a bet but I swear I don’t care about the bet anymore, I love you” She tried moving close to him but he stepped back and pointed his fingers to her.
“Don’t you dare say that ever again and don’t you dare come close to me because the next time you do so, I swear I won’t be nice!!” He warned her before walking away.
Julia didn’t go after him, she just stood there crying.

The party was almost cover, after the fight with Jake and Julia some people began leaving while some were drinking.
“Can you mix those two for me?” Sydney asked the bartender, pointing two strong drinks.
“Are you sure you can take that?” Freddy asked.
“Try me first” She replied.
Freddy mixed the drink and passed it to her. She made to take the cup but a hand grabbed it before she could and gulped it instead.
“What was that for?” She frowned.
“Your cousins or whoever they are to you just gas a fight. Aren’t you gonna go with him?” Rico asked, taking the next sit beside her.
“They will figure themselves out” Sydney rolled her eyes.
“So what’s your name?” Rico asked.
“Why should I tell you?” She replied which made him scoff.
“Earlier at the game you said you found me attractive and I find you attractive too. Maybe we can link up for the night, I know a really cool place” He whispered and Sydney’s eyes widened.
This is literally the first time a guy is saying such to her. Her cheek but red but her dignity was still there. She wanted to slap him for saying much when a guy angrily walked towards them.
“Rico!” He angrily grabbed Rico by the collar and punched his face.
Sydney gasped.
“How dare you kick me out of the team without my consent?” He yelled, turning everyone’s attention to him.
Rico touched his bleeding lips before slowly looking at Jay. “Did you just f*cking hit me?” He asked like he couldn’t believe the blood on his finger was his.
“Damn yes and I’ll do it again you mother fucker!!” Jay yelled and punched Rico’s face again, causing him to bleed from his other nose.
“Oh my God, someone do something!!” Sydney screamed before facing Jay. “Are you planning to kill him?” She angrily asked but Jay grabbed her by the arm and roughly shoved her aside.
He grabbed Rico’s collar again. “Why did you scrap me from the team you son of a psychopath!!” He punched Rico again, sending him to the floor.
“Hey stop!” Bryan walked towards them. “Rico let him have it” Bryan gave Rico a pleading look.
“Here’s the psychopathic brother, you…” Jay didn’t finish what he was saying when a bottle suddenly crashed on his head.
The students gasped.
