Knock knock
Julia squirmed at the sound of knock disturbing her sleep but refused to wake up until the door opened and the sound of someone gasping made both Julia and Jake opened their eyes.
“Julia.. Jake… What’s going on?” Sydney looked confused and surprised as she stared at the both of them.
Julia and Jake were laying using a duvet to cover themselves but one could tell they had no clothes on.
“Sydney we can explain” Julia tried talking, she looked very scared as the last thing she wanted was for anyone to know she’s together with Jake.
“Sydney are they not up yet?” Martha’s voice sounded from the living room.
“Yes they are coming” Sydney replied. She gave them one more look before leaving.

During breakfast, things were awkward for Julia, Jake and Sydney. Everyone were quietly eating expect Martha and Zayn who kept talking about different things but weren’t getting responses.
“So we have finally fix the date for our wedding” Zayn spoke causing Julia and Jake gaze to shift on him.
“We are getting married on Sunday” He said and Martha only smiled.
“Sunday, that’s a night after the bonfire party which is holding on Friday” Julia mumbled.
“You can invite your close friends Julia, invitation card is in my room” Martha told them.
Jake didn’t say anything but to keep eating, Julia was clenching her fist while trying to digest the news. Sydney only stared at the both of them.

After breakfast, Sydney offered to escort Julia and Jake out as they were going to school.
“Are you two ever going to explain what I saw this morning?” She asked them.
Jake sighed and faced her.
“Julia and I have been seeing each other for a while before our parents met” He replied.
“But your parents are getting married soon” Sydney reminded them.
“We know Sydney” Julia sighed.
“It means you guys can’t keep doing things forever. It’s either you cut this off or tell them” Sydney suggested.
“Done say anything to anyone Sydney, we would figure things out” Jake said then moved closer to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Please just keep what you saw between us okay?” He said softly.
Sydney was quiet for a while before she nodded, coming in terms with them.
“Thank you” Julia smiled at her before leaving with Jake.
When they were both out of sight, Sydney took her phone and dialed Romina’s number and she picked after about two rings.
“Mom I just found someone really interesting” She said.
“What?” Romina asked from the other end.
“Julia and Jake are having an affair meaning you still have chance with Zayn” She reported. “And you have to make quick moves, he’s getting married to Martha on Sunday” She added.

LATER THAT DAY, MALL••
“Things are honestly crazy” Julia shook her head as she looked for clothes to get for the bonfire party which was tomorrow.
“My mom is getting married to Zayn on Sunday and Sydney kinda saw Jake and I together” Julia tiredly sighed.
Kaelyn dropped the dress she was holding and asked. “I thought you and Jake ended things?”
“We did” Julia pouted. “At least we tried but we just couldn’t” Julia bit her lips hard before helplessly staring at Kaelyn and Aime.
“You know Jake is the first guy I’ve really loved after so long” She muttered.
“And the bet with Amanda?” Aime asked.
“You made a bet?” Kaelyn’s eyes widened.
“Yes” Julia sighed. “But that was then, infact I already cut the bet with Amanda” She added.
“Then what about your parents? They are getting married on Sunday? Should you two not talk about this?” Aime asked.
“We will figure it out” Julia rubbed her temples.
Soon they both packed their dress and left the mall now what was left was the bonfire party.

FRIDAY EVENING•••
“Is the invitation card still on?”
Zayn and Martha looked up to the sudden footsteps sound to see Romina walking in with a smile.
“What are you doing here Romina? Have you forgotten you still have to ask for my permission before you visit?” Zayn asked while Martha only rolled her eyes at her.
“No I haven’t, I was in a rush because I heard from my daughter Sunday is your wedding” Romina replied with a casual look.
“You’re a good man Zayn and it will be selfish for me if I don’t attend your wedding?” Romina smirked.
“Well we don’t want you there” Martha rolled her eyes.
“Don’t be like that Martha, trust me I don’t want him back. I just want to see him happy at the alter again” Romina faked a pitiful look.
“Well I don’t know what games you’re trying to play but if watching your daughter for you while you’re doing what I don’t care about is not enough then you can come to the wedding” Zayn rolled his eyes.
“Zayn!” Martha gave him a strong look.
“Babe it’s just a wedding” Zayn told her.
“It’s not about the wedding it’s about you making decisions without involving me” Martha replied.
“Are the couples already having a fight?” Romina asked with a mockery look.
Martha didn’t reply, she only just rolled her eyes and stormed out of the place.
“Don’t worry about Martha, she’s just paranoid but very soon she’d get over it” Zayn assured her.
“Don’t worry, you shouldn’t be worried about me or Martha, I promise” Romina flashed Zayn a smile before taking her purse from the chair she dropped it.
“See you on Sunday at your wedding Zayn” She flashed him a smile before walking away.
